This perl-script translates the - admittedly - cryptic logfile entries
produced by HyperWave's Wavemaster into a more human-readable format.
The puropse is to give people the chance to take a look at the files
and to understand what is happening on their servers.
The reason why a script is necessary for translating the log file (while Wavemaster could as well produce readable output) is simple; in order to keep the files as small as possible without losing important information we decided to encode part of it, which saves space, but at the same time reduces readability. This script is here to do away with that drawback.
Usage
To get an elaborate interpretation of the log files, just pass (part of) their contents to hwreadlog via stdin, and the script will put its output to stdout.
