Geoff Huston *Incumbent* Current Position: Technical Manager, Australian Academic and Research Network Current postion within ISOC: Secretary I have served as a trustee during the initial period of operations of the Internet Society since 1992. I've been Secretary of the ISOC since 1993. I've been active within the Internet community since 1984, and was largely responsible for the introduction of the Internet into Australia in starting up the Australian Academic and Research Network, where I'm the Technical Manager. I've worked within the global Internet operational coordination area for some four years, and currently I'm one of the co-chairs of the IEPG, the oeprational coordination group of the Internet. I'm a member of the IETF, and I'm currently a co-chair of the TACIT Working Group. My efforts to date within ISOC have been directed toward ensuring that ISOC is capable of carrying forward an agenda which reflects not only the aspirations of individuals working within the Internet environment, but also in promoting the ISOC as one of the foundation points for ensuring the Internet being accepted as the major public data communications technology over the coming decades.
