RFCs 1341 and RFC 1342 document the Multi-Media Extensions for Internet Mail. The working group will work to progress MIME to Draft Standard status and provide a forum for the review of standards track content-type specifications and the review of character set extensions to MIME. Goals and Milestones: Done Discuss, debate, and choose a framework for the solution. Assign writing assignments, and identify issues to be resolved. Done Review the Charter, and refine the Group's focus. Decide whether this is a worthwhile effort. Done Review exiting writing, resolve outstanding issues, identify new work, and work toward a complete document. Done Post a first Internet-Draft. Done Review and finalize the draft document. Done Submit the document as a Proposed Standard. Done Post an Internet-Draft for the use of Japanese Characters for Internet Mail.
